My responsibilities were to help create an exciting and vibrate environment for the events on-ship and show performance spaces I was assigned to. I was the lighting board programmer/operator, and spotlight caller for all venues assigned, and was also responsible for all maintenance to my equipment and fixtures to those venues. I received assistance during show calls and at scheduled maintenance times from Stage Staff on the ship, and sometimes from another Lighting technician. (1-3) lighting technicians' are usually per-ship.

Working at Stage 773 was a great experience, it has an amazing staff composed of Chicago artist that supported other Chicago artists. Stage 773 hosts its own productions and also hosts as a venue space for visiting theatrical companies, burlesque artists, magic show professionals and comedians. Talent was usually local to Chicago, but we sometime hosted traveling performers.

Duties: Lighting and sound board operation for show calls, some house management responsibilities, venue clean up, communication with performers, short rehearsals before performances and helping create an inviting environment for or guests.
